The Tangle Teezer Review: Detangled Fizzy Hair

The Tangle Teezer Original and Travel Size hairbrush review for any type hair

Who never heard about Tangle Teezer?

I know I have posted about my hair loss and what kind of treatment that I’ve been using on Ritual Perawatan Untuk Rambut Rontok. Then I realize, one of my hair struggles is that my hair tends to get tousled and wavy frizzy. Therefore, like more than 5 months ago I’m testing the Tangle Teezer Professional Detangling Hairbrush for wet and dry hair on panther black. I was thinking with this color, if the hairbrush gets manky, it doesn’t look obvious. You know what I mean, right? However, I read so many reviews about how good this brush. For this reason, after read carefully my fella blogger reviewed and asked her, I finally decided to buy it. Which I could say I do not regret it at all.

They offer you many options of shapes and color. The Tangle Teezer with handle or not. But the most well-known is the original, which is not with handle. To start with, I was not confident the original Tangle Teezer shape which looks a bit odd to me. But once you hold it, its grasped perfectly on your palm. To be frankly, this is the most expensive hair comb/brush I’ve ever have. It costs me around $24 at Farmers. Surprisingly, cheaper than the Tangle Teezer to go. The Tangle Teezer comes with simple mica box printed with the inventor and founder photo, Shaun P. It claims can be used on wet and dry hair. He created Tangle Teezer based on his experience as a leading hair colorist. As you know, how bad your hair feels after coloring or swimming on the beach, your hair super dry and tangled.

As I said on the first paragraph, after using Tangle Teezer the original hairbrush, I’m genuinely satisfied because it works like magic. My hair looks sleek than before when I used usual hair comb. The original Tangle Teezer is suitable for all hair types, especially well at detangling hair. Every color of the original has its own function. For instance, the pink dawn for fine and fragile hair, Lilac fondant for thick and curly, and mint violet for fine and fragile. But if you ask me: which Tangle Teezer is the best? It feels same and works whatever your hair type, the best for curly hair to define curls, even for sleek hair.

The Secret Tangle TeezerThe secret (which not so secret) is on the bristle. The Tangle Teezer hairbrush has a patented two-tiered teeth system technology. The long teeth detangle, and the short teeth smooth the hair cuticle for healthier-looking, glossy hair. It leaves my hair looking soft, added shine, and tangle free. On top of that, the bristle is so soft and makes you wonder how could this works perfectly to detangle your hair? But, IT REALLY WORKS! It feels so good on my scalp and reach all the way through my hair without any fuss. My hair now looks better than before. The Tangle Teezer helps prevent breakage and damage.

Best investment hair tool for fizzy, wavy, curly hair, tangle teezerThe original Tangle Teezer works wonderful, nevertheless it’s not travel friendly. As a result, the bristle will damage without cover when I put in my bag, Therefore, I end up bought another one, The Tangle Teezer on the go Compact Styler – Smooth and Shine with Sunset Pink Mermaid color. The compact styler has heaps of interesting color option than the original. It took me awhile to finally decided between that one between Blue Chrome Mirror and Smashed Holo Pink. The Tangle Teezer Blue Chrome comes with mirror on the back side of the cover. Most important, now I don’t have to worry at all because the brilliant removable cover that helps protect the teeth when I travelling. Funny part, the compact slightly a bit more expensive. I bought it for $29,99 at Farmers. I just checked on their website and they have promo now only $23,99 (I hate it though! LOL). Even though the bristle is a bit shorter than the original, it still works pretty much the same despite of more time to spend for long hair because, you know, its smaller.

HOW TO CLEAN TANGLE TEEZER?

I know this has been issue for everybody. So do I. Since it’s made from plastic, you do not need much efforts or extra care to clean it. Basically, its super easy to clean your Tangle Teezer because all you need are warm/luke water, wash basin (if you don’t have, a small bowl would be nice), small amount of shampoo, and dedicated toothbrush. That’s pretty much about all.

First, lift any loose hair from the teeth. Since I have a wash basin, I just need to fill up wash basin with warm water a quarter of it then pour a little amount of shampoo. Secondly, I soaked my Tangle Teezer and leave it for 2-3 minutes. Gently brush between the teeth until any product build-up is removed from the teeth and the base of the hairbrush. Last, leave the brush to air dry naturally with the teeth facing upwards. For note, the compact might be a little bit challenging to dry for the excess water. But you could Shake it from side to side to remove any excess water and leave to dry on a hard, flat surface with the teeth facing downwards above dry cloth.

Overall, it’s the best investment for my hair care. But my best suggestion if you have tight budget or feel like ‘I’m-not-sure 🙄’, get the original because it’s good for daily use.
